Cueva de la Virgen (San Martín Norte)
Cueva de la Virgen

Upon arrival, we anchor at one of the designated buoys (available during high season) to avoid damaging the seabed. The dive begins on a sandy plain at 12 meters, where you’ll encounter a wall running east to west, reaching a maximum depth of 22 meters.
The tunnel that crosses the wall and the cave are two must-see highlights of this dive. The cave, known as “Cueva de la Virgen” (Cave of the Virgin), is a beautiful grotto with two large holes in its ceiling that allow stunning shafts of light to filter through. At the bottom of the cave rests a statue of Our Lady of the Forsaken, carved into a block of concrete.
Years ago, a couple of divers from Jávea placed it there and even celebrated their wedding in this enchanting grotto.
