Nauga celebrates World Oceans Day with schoolchildren in Arteixo

On June 5th, coinciding with the week of World Oceans Day, the dive center Nauga organized an educational session at CEIP Arsenio Iglesias in Arteixo.
Throughout the morning, a team of two instructors and a Nauga representative gave talks to kindergarten (final year) and primary school classes, in three sessions with around 120 children in total.
The aim of the activity was to raise awareness among the youngest students about the importance of caring for the oceans to ensure the health of our planet. In addition to explaining the work of divers, the team invited the children to take part in a drawing contest, where they could express their own vision of the sea and its conservation. The initiative was a great success, generating excitement and enthusiastic participation.
As a token of appreciation, Nauga presented the teachers with a reusable water bottle made from recycled plastic, encouraging sustainable habits in their daily school life. The team also left thematic posters for the classrooms, serving as a reminder of the visit and its message.
With initiatives like this, Nauga reaffirms its commitment to environmental education and to raising awareness among the new generations, bringing the ocean and its values closer to those who will become the guardians of the future.
