Guardians of the sea

In Spain, the trade of Underwater Field Technician can be learned in a few places.

In this workshop you will learn that diving is an important work tool for many projects: environmental impact studies, marine ecosystem monitoring programmes, description of underwater ecosystems, the inventories of species and the production of documentaries on the marine environment. In all of them the participation of divers with knowledge of scientific diving is required.

This Diving Modality is presented in a theoretical session of 2h duration and the different training options that exist to be officially accredited as a Scientific Diver are described.

The Workshop includes a practical session in a swimming pool of specific scientific diving techniques consisting of performing a task of description of underwater variables through teamwork.
